The full range of audio sightseeing content, tourist information, maps, and software provided by GUIDE@HAND is currently available exclusively in Hungarian. Support for English and German languages is slated to be introduced in the near future.

GUIDE@HAND's Walks are designed to facilitate exploration of new locations, points of interest, and urban patterns. They aim to provide insight into both the historical and contemporary aspects of cities through engaging narratives. Each Walk typically lasts between two to four hours, offering an informative, enjoyable, and adventurous experience. Users can conveniently utilize their mobile devices as audio guides—simply carry the device in your pocket, and it will assist navigation from one site to the next while delivering relevant information and stories at appropriate moments.

The application allows users to determine their current location at any time, view their position on an integrated map, access images of sights, or revisit previously heard content. Pausing and resuming the sightseeing experience is straightforward, enabling flexible planning.

Explore with Offline Maps

For autonomous exploration, GUIDE@HAND offers an offline city map via the “Explore” tab. As you approach points of interest, your device will automatically relay pertinent basic information. Users can opt to listen to additional related stories for a deeper understanding.

Search for Tourist Services on Your Map

The app also assists users in locating nearby tourist amenities such as restaurants, bars, shops, and other services. These can be displayed directly on the map for easy access and planification.

Benefits of Using GUIDE@HAND

• Installation: Installing the app grants offline access to the city map with your current location clearly indicated. It also enables browsing of various points of interest and services within the city. Language preferences can be set during this process.
• Download Walks: Users can download one or multiple city walks from the “Walks” section, enriching their map with detailed sightseeing information, images, and descriptions. All downloaded content becomes accessible within the “Explore” tab for anytime review or browsing.

Note: Prolonged use of GPS in the background may significantly impact battery life. This issue primarily affects operations initiated when pressing the HOME button during map viewing.
